Тема: Установка The Bat v2.0

Пытаюсь установить The Bat v2.0 поверх более старой версии. Всё вроде идет нормально.. Потом вылезает сообщение:
This version of The Bat! introduces the new format of the message base, your old message bases will be automatically converted to the new format.

It is recommended to create a backup copy of your mail directory so you can safely return to the previous version of the program. Also, you can just leave old message base files intact by not checking the checkbox below - in this case, you will have to remove the new version message base files (MESSAGES.TBB and MESSAGES.TBI files located in each folder''s home directory) manually. If you choose not to delete the old message base files, you will have to remove MESSAGES.MSG files located in each folder's home directory manually.

THE NEW FORMAT OF THE MESSAGE BASE DOES NOT SUPPORT ANY ENCRYPTION YET. The old format of the message base used weak encryption and we decided to leave it for special encryption utilities that would guarantee true safety of your data.

Нажимаю OK, Cancel - Результат один - ВЫЛЕТАЮ! И программы запустить не удается… Что делать?

Ну ты, наверное, оооочень давно версии не обновлял… У тебя какая версия стояла? Формат баз менялся в 1.41…
Имхо, есть два варианта: либо вначале обновится до какой-нить промежуточной (1.62, напр), а потом до 2.0, либо экспортунть все письма в unixbox, поставить 2.0 и в новый аккаунт их импортнуть

У меня 1.38 была… Я обновился до 1.62 как ты сказал, потом поставил свеженькую, но вот еще трабл: все присоединенные файлы Word, Excel куда-то отсоединились…

А вот это ищи на форуме: эта проблема уже обсуждалась, причем, недавно.
